 Over the years, wire transfer has been the method of choice for fraudsters looking to get paid by their victims. Recently, however, there has been an uptick in consumer complaints to Fraud.org reporting that scammers are requesting the use of Green Dot MoneyPaks or Vanilla Reloads. These payment methods mean untraceable cash for fraudsters.
One victim -- we'll call him "Chris" -- recently shared his story with us:
"The man called my place of business to say that my previous payment on my bill didn't go through and that my business's electricity would be shut off that day. ... He requested that we pay by Green Dot MoneyPaks. He even called me back to make sure I was going to pay it. He said I would get a call in 30 minutes from [the] reimbursement center for the card fees. I then realized that this was a scam and it was too late."

China's Central Bank Said to Inject $81 Billion Into Major Banks to Support Economy
China's central bank is injecting a combined 500 billion yuan ($81.35 billion) of liquidity into the country's top banks, according to media reports, a sign that authorities are stepping up efforts to shore up a faltering economy. The central bank may be worried that an expected tightening in liquidity and a series of upcoming initial public offerings could trigger a sharp rise in short-term rates, as was seen in June last year, when they surged to around 30 percent and roiled global markets.

aggressive stimulus.
The broader Topix shed 0.5 percent to 1,304.96, and the JPX-Nikkei
Index 400 dropped 0.4 percent at 11,822.30.
